Set at the water’s edge, Not Unlike the Waves is a contemporary waterfront residence defined by sweeping horizontal lines and sculptural curves that echo the surrounding shoreline. Broad cantilevered roofs, layered terraces, and walls of floor-to-ceiling glass dissolve the boundary between interior and landscape, opening the home to expansive water views and changing coastal light. A restrained palette of pale stone, warm wood, and glass gives the architecture a natural sense of permanence, while its flowing forms introduce movement and grace. Outdoor living spaces, a waterfront pool, and dune-inspired landscaping extend daily life toward the shore. Designed by Tanner White Architects, this custom coastal home balances luxury and scale with an atmosphere that feels calm, light, and deeply connected to its setting.
